2. Terms & Conditions
Here are some tips on how to fill out the application form:
- First, read the Rules of Entry to ensure that you are eligible to apply
- You don’t have to complete the application all at once. Your form will be saved as you go and you can return to it at any point by following the link in the email we have sent you and logging in.
- If you are completing this application on behalf of someone else, you must obtain their permission prior to submitting the application and all permissions and consents contained within the application must be given by the applicant themselves.
- You can only apply once to each series of the programme and therefore must only set up one log in. If we consider that you have sent us more than one application (per series of the programme), Love Productions may decide not to consider you to take part in the programme.
- Audition spaces are limited. The sooner you complete your application, the better.
- We’re looking for people with a real passion for baking. Don’t worry if you’re not a great writer, just tell us as much as you can about you and your baking. We want to hear what you’re good at, but also what you’re not so good at. We’re not expecting you to be brilliant at everything; this just helps us to get a clearer idea of what kind of baker you are.
- We want to see your baking! Please include a range of AT LEAST 5 photos of different bakes to show off your baking repertoire. Please include bread, two types of pastry, cake and biscuits in your photographs.
- Please include a recent photograph of yourself.
- You will also have the option to upload a video clip of yourself of up to 1 minute.
- Only people who have made it to the next round will be contacted by a member of the production team. Due to the large number of applications we receive, we are unable to give individual feedback or deal with individual queries.
- When choosing contestants, we look at skill, passion, enthusiasm, personality and love for baking. We want participants who are confident and comfortable being filmed.
Shortlisted candidates may be invited for an interview online or in person.
We aim to include a mix of contestants from different ages, cities, genders and backgrounds across Pakistan.
3. Rules of Entry
The Great Pakistan Bake Off is an amateur baking competition. Before you begin, please check you are eligible to take part by reading the Rules of Entry and confirming the following statements. Please reply truthfully:
- I am aged 16 or above.
- I am a resident of Pakistan.
- I do not have any professional qualifications in baking, cooking, catering or food preparation (unless they were received more than 10 years ago).
- I am not employed by a commercial organisation as a baker, cook or chef.
- I do not earn money from baking or cooking in a professional place (restaurant, hotel, café, canteen, bakery, shop, etc.).
- I am not a close relative or close friend of anyone who is an employee or contractor of the production team.
- I do not work (nor have recently worked) for or have any business or financial connection with the production team.
- I will answer all questions truthfully and in full and shall not withhold any information where requested.
- I understand that the production team has full control over selection decisions. Their choices are final and cannot be challenged.
